５ 奥山に紅葉踏み分け鳴く鹿の 声聞く時ぞ秋は悲しき

現代語訳
人里離れた山の奥で、散り敷かれた紅葉を踏み分けながら恋しいと鳴いている雄鹿の声を聞くときこそ、秋がひときわもの寂しく感じられるものだ。

In a place deep in the mountains far removed from the nearest village, when I hear the voice of a male deer pushing through autumn leaves falled and crying that I miss you, I feel lonely autumn Conspicuously.

文法・語
「ぞ」－強意の係助詞。文末を形容詞「悲し」の連体形「悲しき」で結ぶ係り結び
「は」－係助詞で、「とりたてて」というような意味
